Accomodation and half-board
If you decide to stay at your teacher’s home, you will be living like a French. Your tutor will offer you home cooked dishes with local and seasonal products. You can also opt for a chic immersion and choose between a bedroom in a manor house or a quiet lodge in the wood. As it is chic, you will enjoy local food at the hotel restaurant.
Visits of monuments
You wouldn’t choose the Loire Valley by accident. Of course, a visit of a castle in the Loire valley is unmissable! Let’s pretend we are kings and queen in these beautiful gardens à la française or in one of the chambers . But don’t you want to discover French culture off the beaten track? La commanderie d’Arville is our local monument, full of history. Its architecture and museum (new in 2026) will tell you about the presence of Templars in Europe. The collection presents ancient objects such as coins, potery, weapons that make us time travel. A guided visit is such a good opportunity to learn French in situation.
interactions with local people
Each immersion includes a peaceful afternoon with Lysiane and her lovely donkeys in the grounds of a castle. A walk around a beautiful park with her animals will appease you. Indeed, the presence of spectacular trees that have travelled through the ages and of donkeys is very therapeutic and it will make you feel at peace. A quiet state of mind is ideal to cultivate the art of a language.
